Cozumel Restaurants
Somehow, in spite of its small size, Cozumel has developed a unique and remarkable gastronomic culture, combining its excellent cuisine with very nice and unique ambiences that make you feel like in a lost-in-time fisherman bungalow ("Lobster House"), or in a spacious colonial Hacienda ("Casa Mission") or a classic early XX century beach house ("Panchos").

In addition, there are great small outdoor restaurants, like "Mosaicoz", which are perfect to enjoy the main square ambiance, looking the people walking while you have a couple of beers and a great wood oven pizza or Mexican Food.

Things To Do in Cozumel
Amazing Tours
Best way to enjoy Cozumel attractions is by one or more of its wonderful tours. Explore the coral reefs into a real submarine or diving, go fishing in the best fishing area of the Mexican Caribbean, swim and snorkel at Chankanaab natural reserve, visit the Mayan ruins of San Gervasio or take a buggy ride around the island.

East Coast Beaches
Best beaches of Cozumel Island are at the east side, where authorities have restricted building and houses developments in order to preserve the natural beauty of the area. As it is a 20-25 minutes away from downtown, best way to get there is by renting a car or a scooter.

Downtown Shopping
Cozumel's downtown is the prettiest one of whole Mexican Caribbean. The main square and near streets still keep their original Mexican small-village flavor, in spite of the daily tourism influence the island receives. You will find great local restaurants, handicraft stores and many other shopping places.

The Passion Island
A small island at the north end of Cozumel, still virgin with incredible white sand and transparent-blue calm waters. You will feel like in a lost island of the Caribbean. There are boats to cross and a small restaurant for visitors. Best way to get there is by car or scooter.

Nightlife
Cozumel at night does not look as busy as it looks at morning. Once the cruise ships have left the island, Cozumel returns to be a small and quiet town. However, there are a bunch of places to dance or have a beer, for people who stay at the island and want to get fun.

Museum of the Island
Located at the water front, there is a small but nice to visit museum about the island history. Entrance is just two dollars and they have Mayan and Spaniard vestiges, as well as amazing historical pictures to show how the island was at its beginning (in some aspects not too different than now).
